 Botero is the experienced man. Such a great palmares for this Colombian athlete: twice Colombian Champion (1997 - 2001), twice Pan American Champion (2000 - 2002), three times Copa Libertadores’s Champion (2002, 2003 and 2004). In 2005, he couldn’t take part to competitions because of the absence of partners. In 2006, thanks to Andrea Bianco and the following agreement with Protek Team, he could compete winning 14 Marathons - from North to Center of Italy - like as the Marathon Internazionale Verdestate. In 2006, he has also taken part to the Dolomiti Superbike (16th position) and to the Marathon World Championship (25th place). In Colombia, he got the 2nd place at the XC National Championship (behind Leo Paez) and the 8th position in the 2006 Pan American Championship of Balneario Camboriu (Bra), in spite of some back-ache problems which should have been resolved during the Winter.
